Use a box to clean up a row or column.
Pointing pairs connect a box to a line. If a candidate number appears in only two cells of a 3x3 box, and those two cells sit in the same row or column, that candidate cannot appear anywhere else in that row or column outside the box.
This lets you eliminate candidates from cells far outside the box itself, which often unlocks a naked or hidden single elsewhere on the board.
On the live grid, hover the highlighted box to see its row and column extensions light up. The strategy panel beside the grid lists live candidates for the relevant cells so you can verify the elimination yourself.
